Forensic Estimating

Forensic Estimating is an after the fact review that compares the original estimate against several parameters.

We look at the original estimate to see if it makes sense given the project delivery method used. We research to find out the type of risk analysis that was used. Did the original estimate contain an Allowance for Indeterminate (AFI) and contingencies? We compare the bids with each other and if it is available we look at an Owner/Engineer’s estimate.  We also research the contractor’s experience with the specific project type in question.

Following the delivery of our Forensic Estimate, we can be called upon to present Expert Testimony.
