Martin Luther King Jr. School
VJ Associates provided cost estimating services for the Schematic Design through Construction Administration phases of a new 172,000 sf school that combines elementary grades (pre K-5) and middle school (6-8) on one campus. This project is targeting Net Zero Emissions and expected to achieve LEED Platinum.
There are no boilers or gas usage within the facility; instead the building features sustainable energy systems such as a rooftop and wall-mounted solar photovoltaic system that powers nearly 50% of the electricity needed to power the school.
