Moultrie Courthouse Interior Renovation & Addition

Cost estimates were provided for the interiors of the C-Street Expansion of the Moultrie Courthouse, a 175,800 SF project that features a 111,700 SF addition and the demolition and reconstruction of 64,100 SF contiguous space. The project rises six stories on the C Street façade. All floor levels in the addition match the existing floors. The project’s addition and renovations are contiguous on every level, with the addition’s top floor rising to the 4th floor of the courthouse. The project includes six new criminal division courtrooms with detainee holding and support spaces, chambers for 21 Associate Judges, office space for Family Court and Social Services, and Juror facilities.

Smithsonian Institution South Campus Master Plan

Cost Estimates were provided for the development of a campus master plan around the historic Castle Building on the National Mall. Working closely with the Smithsonian, the A/E team conceived a master plan for the South Mall Campus to improve and expand visitor services and education, create clear entrances and connections between the museums and gardens, replace aging building mechanical systems, and address inefficient energy use. The proposed master plan will be implemented over a 10-to-20–year period.

National Guard Training Center Electrical Distribution System Replacement

A final cost estimate was provided for the electrical distribution replacement at the National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt. Our estimate included standard foundations, superstructure, site preparation, site improvements, and site electrical utilities. 

National Park Service Jones Mill Pond Dam

Cost estimates with two alternates were provided for the roadway and upstream embankment upgrades at the Jones Mill Pond Dam, near Williamsburg, VA. The cost estimate provided costing on the deficiencies associated with this dam structure and surrounding roadways.

Smithsonian Institute - Carnegie Mansion

VJ Associates prepared the baseline construction CPM schedule and monthly updates for this $27 million, 42,000 SF New York City and national historic landmark museum redesign. The goal was to increase the total exhibition space by 60 percent, as well as to reconfigure conservation and collection-storage facilities. The baseline schedule covered all phases of the project, including mobilization, procurement, submittals and approvals, construction, and commissioning. We assisted our client in preparing backgrounds for owner negotiations regarding time extension claims and prepare revised baseline schedules.

A feasibility cost estimate was provided for the demolition of a small storage building at Camp Edwards in Cape Cod.
