Frank Sinatra School of the Arts Opens

July 29, 2009

Tony Bennett, the renowned singer, took part in the opening of the new Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, a 640-student high school in Astoria, NY. He also performed at the Class of 2009's commencement in the aptly named Tony Bennett Concert Hall where Bruce Willis was scheduled to be the keynote speaker.

Polshek Partnership Architects, LLP selected VJ Associates to provide the cost estimating services for this new 150,000 square foot 5-story building with a 37,000 square foot garage. The project scope included foundations, floors, roofing, MEP, ADA compliance, fire protection systems, site work and landscaping. The New York Times discusses the high school in detail and highlights Tony Bennett's contribution to the effort.
