Scheduling

Scheduling is the process of converting a general or outline plan for a project into a time-based schedule predicated upon durations, significance, external order relationships, resource availability and target dates. The recognition of realistic time and resource constraints may influence the execution of the plan. Schedules are developed in either Primavera P6/P3 or Microsoft Project formats for the Design and Construction stages.

We follow five steps to ensure accuracy in scheduling:

  1. Defining the Schedule system in terms of tasks, characteristics, interrelationships, resources available and other significant measures.
  2. Assign resources tasks or distribute the resources over the tasks.
  3. Develop a sequence for executing tasks.
  4. Determine start and finish for each task.
  5. Evaluate original choices to ensure avoiding undesirable outcomes in scheduling versus current available resources.
