Hemant D. Mehta, P.E., has joined VJ Associates as Divisional Director of our New England operations. He will oversee all estimating, project management, and scheduling services for that office, as well as manage the day to day operations.
Prior to joining VJ Associates, Mr. Mehta worked as a senior project manager for an international A/E/C firm. He directed and successfully executed numerous projects up to $350 million in total costs through design, procurement, and construction for over 25 years. He also ran the project control group that was responsible for estimating and controlling project costs and scheduling.
Mr. Mehta's industry experience includes designing and building process facilities, manufacturing plants, and R&D laboratories, with particular emphasis on project controls, project planning, and project management. In addition, his clear vision of projects enables him to estimate costs accurately at all stages. Mr. Mehta's knowledge will significantly enhance our client's planning and execution capabilities.
In addition to our expansion in New England, our New Jersey office has also added a new member to its team.
Amy Baker will join the New Jersey team as the Director of Business Development. Ms. Baker will reinforce our firm's dedication to the invaluable relationships we have developed throughout our history. Ms. Baker brings 17 years of experience in marketing and business development in the A/E/C industry in both the public and private sectors.
Ms. Baker is currently a Business Partner Board Representative for the New Jersey chapter of the Eastern Regional Association for Higher Education Facilities Officers (NJAPPA).
